Mauro Esposito was an Italian winger who played for Udinese Calcio in Serie A around 1999–2001 after being signed from Pescara. He made his first‑division debut with Udinese in the 1999–2000 season, appearing in a handful of matches in Italy’s top league, though he didn’t score for the club during that stint. After limited playing time in Udine, he moved on — eventually finding much greater success with Cagliari Calcio — where he became a regular starter and scored many goals before later spells at AS Roma and other clubs.
