The primary inspiration for the 24/25 home jersey design is rooted in the club’s past—specifically drawing from a classic kit worn by the legendary "Busby Babes" squad during their 1952 tour.
In the early days of night matches played under floodlights at Old Trafford, that 1952 jersey was intentionally crafted using a reflective synthetic material called Rayon. This fabric was chosen to give the players' kits a shimmering appearance, which helped the players see one another more clearly under the stadium’s floodlights.
